Introduction The Site Project Manager (PM) will assume total accountability for effective leadership and profitable delivery of the EBOP Windfarm Project. Successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring delivery on time, customer satisfaction, mentoring and motivating project teams through guidance for their full potential and creating a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators The Site Project Manager will be fully accountable for managing and controlling all aspects of the project.
Managing all costs and delivering to budget. Leadership Ensuring people are motivated and productive whilst maintaining a fair and disciplined site culture. Relationship Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels Operational Excellence Driving project delivery through people, plant and planning. Managing scope and procurement, whilst ensuring that production and quality is maintained. Accurate reporting. Risk Maintaining and reviewing a project risk register.Driving safety Key Responsibilities: Ensure understanding, management and administration of the contractEnsure that progress, delays and any other events, which might influence the program and costs are communicated timeously to ManagementDevelop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resourcesSubmit and manage monthly progress payments to the clientMinimise exposure and risk by implementing audits of safety standards and quality assurance controlsCoordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the projectOversee performance of all trade contractors and reviews all issued drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followedEnsure proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.Supervise team, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and correct any safety violations or other reported deficienciesTrack and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocatedManage day to day operational and tactical aspects of the projectAccurately forecast revenue, profitability and project costsProactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are takenIntegrate process between subcontractors, suppliers and construction teamDevelop and execute a procurement planHandle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a projectConduct site checks to monitor progress as well as safety and quality standards and implementations Competency Profile Qualifications : Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent B-Tech SACPCMP Certification advantageous Construction Regulations Certificate This is a site-based role Skills & Experience: Minimum 10 years Project Management experience in a relevant site-based industry, with at least 5 years Renewable Energy experience, EBOP Windfarm construction required.Experience of Project Financing Process and RequirementsPrevious experience of managing projects through the financial, planning, procurement and construction processesExperience of managing of minimum 100 staff membersAttributes: Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with the client, employees and local community.
