Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

My client is seeking a highly skilled Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage their logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of premium granite products.

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of shipping and logistics, including inventory management, transportation, and compliance with industry regulations.

The ideal candidate will need to have extensive experience in logistics within the granite or similar heavy materials industry and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the shipment of granite slabs to various domestic and international destinations.
Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to meet customer demands.
Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping and transportation regulations.
Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation and records.
Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly to minimize impact on operations.

Minimum Requirements & Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in shipping and logistics, preferably in the granite or similar heavy materials industry.
Strong understanding of logistics processes, including inventory management, transportation, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
