Shift Millwright (C2)

The role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and heavy equipment in industrial settings. The successful incumbent will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Millwrights work with a variety of tools and equipment to assemble, dismantle, align, and adjust machinery components to ensure precise functionality. Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance of the Plant.Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and equipment according to specifications and Sugar Industry standards.Align and calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure accurate functioning and performance.Repair or replace faulty machinery components such as motors, bearings, belts, gears, and other parts.Perform routine maintenance tasks and inspections in accordance with safety legislation.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems or malfunctions using various diagnostic tools and techniques.Perform standby duties on a rotational basis and attend to breakdowns within acceptable time limits.Qualifications And Experience RequiredGrade 12 with N3 recognized Millwright Trade TestAt least three years post-apprenticeship experienceAbility to work within a teamProficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading)Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressureEffective communicator must be self-motivated and enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate the ability to investigate and solve problems as they arise.
