Shift Fitter

A well-established client of ours is looking for an experienced Shift Fitter to join their team.Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:Perform specialized technical tasks in the fabrication, maintenance, repair, construction, installation, disassembly, fitting, and turning of plant and equipment.Perform diagnostic tasks by carrying out operations relating to testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and fault finding, as well as checking, measuring, and recording to achieve results such as lowering downtime, minimizing breakdowns, and enhancing plant and equipment availability.Keep track of technical information about open and finished work for use in the planning system.Utilize operational guidelines and policy to safely complete maintenance and repair jobs.Follow the procedures outlined in the behavior-based safety system as required by company policy.Observe and adhere to preventative maintenance (system-specific) requirements.Be available for shift work and ready to be on standby as needed.Qualifications:Grade 12 with a good pass in Physical Science and Mathematics.Trade papers essential.Minimum N6 qualification essential.Pneumatics qualifications are an added advantage.Job Requirements:Qualified as a Fitter with a minimum of 2 years post-apprentice experience.Knowledge and experience in Fitting and Turning techniques and the tools and turning equipment available, for example, lathe types, and rigging equipment.Must have own toolbox.Must be energetic, hard-working, and able to perform under pressure.Must be proactive, responsible, and reliable.Good communication skills at all levels.If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by emailing your CV to: ****** note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
