Sheq Officer

Our client is looking for a SHEQ Officer to join them in the Waste Management IndustryJob Specification:Meet ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and legal compliance as stipulated within the SHEQ management system and at the direction of the Compliance ManagerAudits and or inspections to be completed on any landfills, recyclers, waste licenses and major clientsTo assist in logistical safety management requirements on checks, inspections, and compliance-related mattersTo provide SHEQ operational compliance coverage in other depots and projects i.e.
integrated contracts, and new projectsTo help investigate accidents, incidents & injuries and provide root cause and containment actionsManagement of the Safety, Environmental & Quality Risk & Impact assessment programConduct SHEQ trainingMange the SHE committees' program, committee meetings, safety reps,Conduct facility inspections for fire hazards, general hazards infrastructure and buildings, etc.Manage the non-conformance system, reporting, investigation & close outAssist sales with SHEQ requirements and tender requirements including customer auditsEnsure that the site activities are in line with regulatory & statuary requirementsEnsure that permits and licenses are up to date current, make new applications, and provide SAWIS and NMBM with OES waste dataManage the KSF program for site improvements and projectsTo influence the SHEQ culture by changing the mindset of employeesTo ensure and encourage sound Environmental, Safety and Health and Quality practicesTo liaise directly with the Regional and Compliance managers on sensitive mattersTo make NO statements on any incident and or practices that may seem untoward without the prior consent of the regional managerObey any instructions in connection with SHEQ and compliance activitiesQualification:Diploma in Safety Management or SAMTRAC or RISKMAQ or a recognized SHEQ officer trainingOperational experience 1-2 yearsSHEQ experience 1- 2 yearsISO knowledgeable (at least one 9001, 14001, or 45001)Should you not receive any response from us within 2 weeks please consider your application unsuccessful
