Job Description Job Function To lead and align the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management value chain function for an operating company through the development and implementation of a functional strategy and operating model, enabling a high-performance culture, client satisfaction, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements. Key Performance Areas Process and Governance Define and implement a strategy, operating model and policies for multiple value chain functions in the context of an analysed risk profile as well as relevant corporate governance. Establish and optimise a total supply chain solution function. Ensure alignment of operational capabilities to total supply chain solution requirements. Finance Define and control the budget for multiple value chain functions. Client/Customer Integrate and align multiple value chain functions based on internal & external client requirements as well as market trends and other business intelligence. People Align people's performance goals to support the achievement of a strategy for multiple value chain functions. Support and empower people that design and implement change within multiple value chain functions. Fill approved positions in compliance with the recruitment practices. Manage talent and succession. Qualifications required NQF Level 7 relevant Bachelor`s Degree and/or Advanced Diploma SAMTRAC, HIRA and or HACCP Certification Skills and Experience Required Ability to work on SHEQ Software Must be proficient in Risk Assessment Must have experience in Incident and Accident Investigation Sound knowledge of management systems (implement and maintain) such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 45000 and Knowledge and experience of ISO 22000 systems will be beneficial Experience and knowledge of SHEQ related legislation and SANS Standards including RTMS: 1395-1 Working experience and understanding of Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) programs Behavioural Competency Business acumen Client centricity Improvement orientation Inspirational leadership Interpersonal effectiveness Personal courage Results Orientation Strategic orientation Technical Competencies Budgeting and Cost Management Business and Operations Management People Management and Development skills Understand and apply Labour Relations Procedures
