Initially focused on local operations, this role will eventually extend to other branches. We are seeking a sharp, experienced SHEQ professional with a natural curiosity and a strong focus on risk assessment. If you're driven by keeping people safe, implementing, managing, and continuously improving processes, this is the role for you!Key Responsibilities:Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of SHEQ programs aligned with South African legislation and industry best practices.Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.Develop, implement and maintain a program to ensure that all facilities, machinery and equipment are regularly audited, inspected and tested in compliance with relevant legislation.Deliver SHEQ training programs, guide PPE selection, and promote health and safety awareness.Manage environmental impact through monitoring and sustainable practices.Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation and submit reports to management and regulatory bodies.Work with / on SHEQSys.RequirementsJob Requirements:Diploma / Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or Engineering.SAMTRAC or NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); Internal Auditor (ISO 9000 / ISO 45001 / ISO 14001), or Similar.Additional Certificates like L3 Incident Investigation, First Aid, Fire Safety, Racking & Stacking, Working at Heights, Forklift and SAIOSH Registration.Drivers License and Own Transport.3-5 years in a SHEQ Coordinator / SHEQ Officer role, within an Industrial / Manufacturing / Workshop Environment.Strong understanding of South African HSE legislation, ISO standards, and SHEQ management systems.Expertise in risk management, incident investigation, SHEQ audits, and the use of SHEQ management software (they use SHEQSys).Personal Attributes:Detail-oriented, results-driven, and proactive with a high level of accountability.Highly energetic with a positive attitude and a conscientious work ethic.Results orientated, thriving in a fast-paced environment with a drive to exceed expectations.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to travel nationally and internationally when required (they have multiple branches across SA and 2 in Africa) and travel will be required on an ad hoc and project dependent basis.Benefits: R30 000 - R35 000 CTC
