Job DescriptionWE ARE HIRING!An exciting opportunity has become available for a Sewing Machine Mechanic within the Maintenance Department at Prestige CaledonResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain a range of industrial sewing machines allied sewing equipmentSet up and test run a range of industrial sewing machines allied sewing equipmentKeep maintenance records and update maintenance reportsConduct running maintenanceAssist and coach learner mechanicsMaintain and collect technical data for machinery and equipmentAdhere and manage preventative maintenance program on minor and major tasksFolder repairAssist with ad-hoc tasks within the maintenance department Requirements To Apply3-5 years' proven experience in Industrial Sewing machine maintenance within a clothing productionenvironmentNQF4 Qualification in repairs and maintenance sewing machine or equivalent qualification(Advantageous)The ability to work in a team and additional hours as requested BehaviorsDiligent with high attention to detailExcellent communication skillsTeam PlayerPunctualQuick response / and a sense of urgencyApplication closing date: 6 September 2024Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.Applications can be emailed to: ****** UsWho we are is because of our people.
