Description: Course Number and Title: ECO227Y1Y Foundations of Econometrics (Section LEC0101)
Course Description: A rigorous introduction to probability and mathematical statistics intended for students in Economics Specialist programs. Probability and estimation theory, sampling distributions, hypotheses testing, multiple regression analysis. Students will learn the tools used in economics and finance to model and address randomness and uncertainty.
Estimated TA support: 336 hours (contingent upon enrolment and funding)

Class Schedule: Monday 11:00-13:00; Wednesday 15:00-17:00
The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.
Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2024 - April 30, 2025
Salary (per section): Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
