Job Description:Gauteng branch based in Irene, CenturionService, maintenance and engineering support for the products supplied by the CompanyScheduled service visits to customers, including machine audits and reporting potential problems to the customerWhen required, project planning and project management will include site inspections, measuring, approving drawings, placing of orders for local components, ensuring components are produced to specification and generally preparing for installationsInstallation and commissioning of new equipment supplied by the CompanyManaging sub-contractors on site during installationsControlling all costings on installations and service work, including records of work performed, costs incurred and spare parts used and ensuring that these are passed on to the appropriate person for invoicingReport writing to customers, principle suppliers and Company Management on service visits and installationsLiasing with overseas principle suppliers from time to time regarding fault finding on equipmentMust be a self-starter, and able to work well in a team environmentGood communication skills are essentialThe employee will be required to travel locally or internationally from time to time for service work, contract work or training Occasionally, the employee will be away from home for extended periods of timeMost of their work takes place over weekends due to the nature of our industryEmployee should be willing to work overtime and weekends regularlyMinimum Requirements:Electrical and mechanical experience essential, including electrical fault-finding ability, PLC and electrical control panelsPrevious experience in the food processing industry (poultry and red meat) is beneficialMust be bilingual in English and AfrikaansMillwright trade test or equivalentFood Processing Equipment /Primary Processing Equipment / Packaging Equipment / Poultry/Beef or food processing experience Ability to draw on AutoCad would be a further advantageAvailability to travel and work overtimeMust be driven and able to work under little to no supervisionWilling to learnDrivers licenceAbility to handle breakdowns and work over weekends if neededKindly note that by submitting your application for this career opportunity you agree that Guardian Recruiting may use your application for the purpose of the recruitment and selection of the said position and this information may be shared with the relevant stakeholders in the business.Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
