The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing service appointments, and ensuring that all automotive service needs are met efficiently. A strong background in automotive and dealership environments is essential, along with working experience using Autoline or a similar dealership software.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :Customer Service :Greet customers warmly and ascertain their automotive service needs.Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and ensuring a positive service experience.Provide accurate information and advice regarding service options, timelines, and costs.Service Management :Schedule service appointments and manage the service workflow to ensure timely and efficient operations.Coordinate with the workshop and parts departments to ensure the availability of necessary parts and services.Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.Documentation and Record Keeping :Prepare service orders and maintain detailed records of all service activities.Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including customer information, vehicle details, and service history.Utilize Autoline or similar dealership software to manage service records and track progress.Sales and Upselling :Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and products to customers, enhancing their vehicle's performance and longevity.Provide customers with detailed explanations of recommended services and associated benefits.Vehicle Knowledge :Possess comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems and components to accurately diagnose issues and recommend appropriate services.Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and service practices.Customer Follow-Up :Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and address any post-service concerns.Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, encouraging repeat business.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :Proven experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership environment.Strong knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance.Grade 12 (Matric) (req.) + Position related qualification / certificate (adv)Computer literate: Experience with Autoline or similar dealership software is advantageous.Exceptional customer service and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.Valid driver's license.Newcastle residency required.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:We will ONLY consider applications from suitably experienced candidates that meet the requirements of this vacancy.
