Senior Sales Representative

Industrial /Wholesale Responsible for developing and implementing channel strategies at a regional Level and to ensure delivery of budgeted sales, profit and channel objectives. Work closely with industrial customers to increase the basket of products with new applications that benefit both parties. Actively search for new customers to expand the companys footprint in this channel. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant Tertiary qualification Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Formal Cheffing Qualification, Marketing Management (Advantageous) Computer literacy Intermediate Excel is compulsory Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within Foodservice, Food Production or Production Kitchen environment Experience with dealing with Spar, PnP, Franchises, Business Owners Experience in Dairy, New Product Development will be advantageous. Food Technology / Food Preparation skills Minimum of 3 years sales and customer service experience Key Performance Indicators for this role (but not limited to): Building and maintaining successful commercial business relationships with customers to ensure sustainability of company profitability Manage Customers, so that there is alignment between the business objectives and customer strategy. Sourcing of new customers to ensure channel sustainability Job Summary (but not limited to): Building and maintaining successful commercial business relationships with customers. Joint formulation of customer strategies with the Industrial Sales Manager. Assist with price maintenance, product ranging and new product listings. Joint development of account plans to deliver on channel KPIs. Analyse, compile and review performance of accounts as well as competitor dynamics in order to deliver maximum sales and profit. Drive New Product Development sessions with customers. Implement the agreed pricing policies. Develop the appropriate cross functional contact strategy (includes identifying key contacts & establishing frequency of contact) with assigned customers. Role Capabilities: A deep understanding of production processes in food processing facilities. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and facilitation skills with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives. Excellent numerical, commercial and analytical skills. Excellent problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal communication skills. Excellent presentation and report writing skills. Travel and Administration Expectation 70:30. Personal Capabilities: Problem solver Ability to work within a diverse team. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to plan work and meet deadlines. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to take initiative.
