Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher with extensive experience to evaluate public sector incentive programs. The role involves providing in-depth financial analysis, tracking the performance of incentive programs, and offering recommendations for optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Incentive Program Analysis:
Evaluate the financial and economic impact of public sector incentive programs on various sectors, including businesses, job creation, and overall economic development.
Conduct research to measure the effectiveness of programs and propose data-driven recommendations for improvement.
2. Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present detailed financial reports that assess the performance of incentive programs.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting of funds allocated to incentive programs.
4. Policy Support:
Collaborate with policymakers to provide financial insights that inform the development of new incentive programs.
Offer evidence-based recommendations for the improvement of existing programs to enhance their effectiveness.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with key stakeholders, including businesses, industry groups, and government agencies, to gather input and data on the performance and impact of incentive programs.
Facilitate alignment between stakeholders to ensure shared goals and outcomes.
6. Compliance & Regulation:
Ensure that incentive programs comply with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
7. Data Collection & Interpretation:
Collect financial data from a variety of sources to track the effectiveness and performance of public sector incentives.
8. Risk Assessment:
Conduct risk assessments on incentive programs, identifying potential financial risks.
9. Impact Assessment:
Analyse the economic and social impact of incentives across sectors such as manufacturing, SMEs, and agriculture.
Measure how programs contribute to job creation, economic inclusion, and sector-specific growth.
10. Program Optimisation:
Develop and recommend strategies to optimise the structure of incentive programs.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in research, financial analysis, or program evaluation, particularly within economic development
Expertise in financial modelling, data analysis, and risk assessment.
Experience in working with government agencies and policy-makers.
