Senior Quantity Surveyor at Southern Shore Recruitment - Western Cape, Cape TownThe Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to manage and deliver the quantity surveying and construction cost management aspects of the building and construction related projects proactively and timeously from Stage 1 - 6 (from pre-contract up to post-contract) in accordance to the client requirements and agreement and within the set budget to facilitate successful completion of the project.Compile project reports at required intervals to ensure that the Executive Director, Regional Director, Associate Director, and Senior Quantity Surveyors are kept abreast of project progress and any developments within the project for effective decision-making.Requirements:At least a minimum of 10 (ten) years plus post-professional registration experience in the field of professional quantity surveying.Solid experience in a range of building/construction and engineering projects.Experience working for a professional consulting firm/organisation specialising in quantity surveying and/or construction cost management.Membership of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS) is optional but encouraged.Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP).Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc Hons) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Quantity Surveying is required.Desired Skills:Quantity SurveyingProject ManagementProject PlanningCost PlanningSubcontracts ManagementDesired Qualification Level & Accreditations:DegreeThe South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession
