The Projects Manager will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, providing engineering support services.This role involves assisting with the design of equipment, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time, and maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams. The position requires a high level of technical acumen, project management expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Design AssistanceConceptualize and adjust designs based on client and sales input.Review and approve drawings, providing commissioning assistance as required.Ensure all project drawings are completed accurately and on time.Project ManagementManage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and time constraints.Oversee the accuracy of specifications and liaise with sub-contractors to ensure compliance.Progress ReportingProvide regular progress updates to clients and the Managing Director.Participate in weekly project meetings, update cost sheets, and ensure accurate cash flow management.CommissioningConduct pre-commissioning checks and oversee dry and hot commissioning of equipment.Ensure all systems meet specifications and are properly tested, including signing off with clients.Inspection and MaintenancePerform inspections on existing equipment, advising clients on maintenance plans.Liaise with internal sales on spare parts requirements and perform preventative maintenance tasks.Client LiaisonVisit existing clients regularly to assess needs and generate leads for the sales team.Key Attributes:Strong verbal communication skillsHigh accuracy and precisionExcellent problem-solving abilitiesTenacity and perseveranceStrong time management and organizational skillsCreative application and mechanical insightTechnical acumen and attention to detailEffective people skillsOther Requirements:Own transport and valid drivers licenseValid passport and willingness to travel (within Africa and internationally)Proficiency in MS Office & MS Projects (Intermediate to Advanced)Advanced proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD (up to AutoCAD 2012)Minimum Qualifications:B.Eng (Mechanical Engineering) - Non-negotiableAdvanced Certificate in Project Management or similar qualificationExperience:At least 5 years experience in a similar roleExperience with hydraulics, gearboxes, or similar equipment is highly advantageous
