Job Title:Senior Programme Officer – Project Management Unit, A2DSRHJob Location:Gauteng, JohannesburgDeadline:January 27, 2025Required Skills and Competencies:Knowledge and experience in the regulation of medical products.Development of technical guidelines and standard operating procedures for regulating medical products.Knowledge and experience in harmonisation of standards and guidelines.Experience in undertaking joint regional regulatory activities.Development and publishing of knowledge products.Experience in mobilising experts and composing and managing technical committees.Data analysis and providing reports, as necessary, relating to the work of continental TCs.Ability to understand complex issues and to analyse information and data.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to solve problems and to handle difficult situations effectively.High level of diplomacy and the ability to display discretion and respect for confidentiality.Management experience.Ability to work in a multicultural environment.Good planning and organisational skills.Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) and fluency in another AU language(s) is an added advantage.Education and Experience:Candidates must have:A Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies or related field plus a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience, of which three (3) years should be at a supervisory level within public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or continentally.Or a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies or related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience within public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or continentally.
