These machines include low-profile and narrow vein loaders predominantly for smaller mining applications.
About the Role
Sales Production Planner administrator processes sales orders and payments, arranges deliveries and offers after-sales support.
Responsibilities
Quality
To assist the Foreman with quality control and conduct basic over-inspections of machines before they are sent to the customer.
Production Planning
Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule for Workshops using the best combination of Visual Manufacturing MRP system and or Excel.
Monitors, analyses, and reports performance to schedule production activities utilising information derived from material and production control systems.
Coordinate with internal aftermarket sales and production to sequence manufacturing and assembly of manufactured goods.
Assist the manufacturing department in actively managing the new subassembly, manufactured, and electrical kits business production schedule.
Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates on parts as needed and document during the releasing process.
Coordinate with departments as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding budget and delivery.
Monitor quality, service, and delivery issues and raise corrective actions against relevant internal departments as required through company Non-conformance procedures.
Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes.
Participate in production meeting discussions.
Releasing
Accurately maintain and supervise others performing the job-master database in the MRP system – (SMO/SMEO).
Research order and delivery discrepancies and resolve MRP-related issues. Take appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues.
Routine clerical duties to support department activities and equipment and supervision of others performing these duties.
Stay informed of current and forecasted projects, manufacturing workload, and manufacturing processes.
Function as the focal point to move towards a more efficient system of entering engineering releases. The goal is continual improvement of the processes being utilised.
Estimating
It is the responsibility of the sub-assembly sales planner is responsible for quantifying the cost of planned production jobs and reporting cost findings to Finance Cost Accountant, considering the appropriate margin and quote released by Aftermarket Sales for planned production jobs to the end users.
Administration
Ensure signed Works orders are received by sales/branch.
Jobs are opened timeously, job (SMO/SMEO) cards are issued and closed as and when required, including supervision of those carrying out such assistant tasks.
Supervision of others carrying out standard job admin processes in the MRP system.
Assistance with communicating Job costing to Cost accountant, is done in order to develop a proper database from which to base future quotations and communicated accurately internally for correct quoting.
Utilise the company's computerised management system to record all required information
Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Grade 12 and or N3 equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years planning or management within a similar manufacturing sales environment.
Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing or other MRP/ERP systems.
High level of computer literacy (Excel/Microsoft projects/Microsoft Office)
Experience working within an ISO quality management system.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans – Verbal and written.
Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills are required. Ability to work under pressure.

Excellent problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough. A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude, who is cautiously assertive.

Desired Requirements
Diploma and or certificate in Project Management/ Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing.
Certificate and or Diploma in Supply chain management
Proven track record.

BC MRP Experience.
