Job Title: Production ManagerSalary: R35,000 – R40,000 per month (Cost to Company)Location: CenturionEmployment Type: Permanent The Purpose of the PositionThe Production Manager will focus on the printing and lamination divisions, identifying and resolving technical issues, reducing waste, and optimizing production efficiency.
This role involves hands-on management of the production process, daily communication with supervisors, and collaboration with teams to ensure high-quality output and streamlined operations.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the printing and lamination divisions to resolve technical issues and reduce wasteTrain staff and reduce start-up and running waste in productionManage daily production activities, including job cards and production plansOversee production teams, including training, coaching, and performance managementEnsure ink technicians follow procedures and complete blend sheetsMonitor production parameters such as waste, overtime, and resource allocationCollaborate with quality and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve factory issuesEnsure that all production meets quality standards, and paperwork is completed correctlyImplement cost-saving initiatives and conduct periodic quality inspectionsLead daily production meetings and ensure communication between shifts is effective RequirementsQualifications in Production or Manufacturing ManagementProven experience with LDPE, BOPP, and other flexible packaging materialsFamiliarity with Flexographic and/or Gravure printing machineryExperience with lamination processes in a printing or packaging environmentStrong knowledge of production management in a packaging or printing settingAbility to implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage and coach teams effectivelyOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
