Responsibilities:Lead planning officeUtilise CMMS computer software and other computer applications to support the maintenance functionMake field inspections and determine appropriate job work scopesDevelop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of maintenance workCreate, use and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays (all information must be captured on SAP)Perform purchasing duties as requiredStage materials and special tools as requiredEvaluate job feedback to improve future workKeep familiar with current safety, health, and environmental rules and regulationsProvide technical assistance as required for maintenance personnelPrepare reports as requiredControl cost expenditure (SAP and PowerBI access)Sub store control inventory control (Spares, PPE, etc.)Training and DevelopmentRequired to work overtime and standby dutyRe-co equipment inspections and follow-ups not handled by progress teamDrive overdue issues reporting from weekly zonesMTR led the weekly discussions with the teamsQualifications:National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in EngineeringPreferably a Structured Junior Management Development ProgramExperience and Requirements:Computer literate with application of SAP, Microsoft Office, MS Projects, PIVOT etc.Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment in the maintenance of Coating PlantsKnowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignmentsKnowledge of the Roll and Shearblade services plants and responsible areasAble to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions in swiftly developing job plansAble to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formAble to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and supervisorsAble to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogues, reports and manualsAble to wear all PPE and execute all physical duties within the office as well as on the plantMust have a valid driver's licensePersonal Attributes:Safety consciousAble to work in a teamGood analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work under pressureAble to work on heights, in dust, heat and gas areas
