A vacancy exists for a Senior Operations Manager - Mining Division stationed in Robertville. The position will report to the Regional Executive.The overall purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations and management of large contracts, ensuring that all Security Officers are posted as per contractual agreements, that all site-specific security requirements are adhered to, and that the Client's needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times.Key Performance Areas:Overall management of all Mining contracts nationally, which includes Operations, Financial Management, Transport, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, ISO, Client Portfolios, and Contractual agreements.Large fleet management.Management of Operations Managers, Site Managers, and Supervisors to ensure that all Client matters are dealt with promptly.Attending daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with Clients as required.Attending internal Management meetings as required.Quarterly appraisal of Operations and Administrative staff.Training and development of staff.Succession planning of staff.Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and ensuring adherence to set budgets.Asset control.Responsible for staff, duty rosters, and training.Ensuring due process for quotations for purchases or repairs.Ensuring compliance with standards and procedures required by the quality management system.Submission of monthly and quarterly reports as required by Management.Conducting risk assessments on Client premises.Preparing investigation reports.Ensuring that contractual requirements are met as stipulated by the Client.Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and the Client regarding security services rendered.Constantly evaluating service levels provided and making recommendations for improvements.Ensuring that Security staff maintain required performance at all times.Dealing with all required administration matters.Liaising daily on various operational issues.Qualifications, Experience, and Other Competencies Required:Matric certificate, Psira Grade A registration, and accreditation.At least 10 years' experience in the Mining security industry.Senior Security Management experience in managing a large security workforce and dealing at Executive level.Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management and its requirements.Excellent people management experience and skills.Strong planning, leadership, organizational, interpersonal communication, and client liaison skills.Experience in Financial Management/Budgets.Experience in managing a fleet of vehicles.Assertive, goal-driven, self-motivated, with a passion for the business.Computer literacy on Microsoft Programs.Own reliable transport and valid Driver's Licence required.No criminal record.Excellent track record.Willing to travel extensively.Core Competencies:Strong planning skills.Leadership skills.Organizational skills.Good interpersonal skills.Communication skills.Client liaison skills.Interested candidates whose credentials best match the requirements can send their CVs before 12:00 on 30 August 2024 – email: ****** reserve the right not to make an appointment to any advertised position.
