Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Merchandiser to join their team in the Fashion & Footwear department. As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Brand Manager to develop and implement effective product and assortment strategies to achieve financial objectives. This role demands a dynamic individual who can efficiently manage merchandise allocation, financial planning, and in-season projections while ensuring optimal product assortment and stock levels across all stores.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Brand Manager to create merchandise plans based on category insights and historical trends.Analyze store profiles, including stock levels, sales blend, and inventory by store grade.Manage in-season activities such as stock analysis, balancing, markdown management, and stock vs. sales performance.Plan and execute merchandise mix for each store, including initial product allocation and reserve management.Finalize seasonal assortment plans and size run books in coordination with the Brand Manager.Monitor product line pricing and track competitor brand developments.Maintain adherence to ageing standards and stock turn policies.Oversee margin negotiations, orders, stock distribution, and product selection.Analyze sales data to optimize inventory by identifying best-sellers and slow-movers.Conduct store visits and competitor analysis, providing feedback to the Brand Manager.Manage day-to-day store replenishment needs to maintain optimal stock levels.Key Skills:Strong analytical ability to interpret sales and inventory data.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Proficient in financial planning and budget management.Thorough understanding of retail merchandising processes and practices.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Experience in managing product assortments, inventory control, and financial planning.Background in the fashion or footwear industry is advantageous.Proficiency in merchandise management software and tools.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of retail merchandising experience with at least 2 years in a senior role.
