RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mechanical Engineer must work on all the product stages of Water Jetting Technology and Water Jetting Equipment. The product stages include:
Research and Product Development
Design and Manufacture
Assembly and Installation
Final Commissioning of Water Jetting Equipment, Rigs, and Trailers
The Mechanical Engineer needs to ensure that all equipment and systems work safely and efficiently and meet the clients' and customers' requirements. Key tasks include:
Design of Water Jetting Equipment, Rigs, and Trailers using current Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Solid Works.
Identifying any deficiencies in the equipment and systems, followed by developing design improvements.
Identifying, formulating, and producing effective solutions to emerging problems.
Altering and modifying designs to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions.
Presenting designs to directors, management teams, and clients.
Preparing Product Reports and all relevant documentation.
Overseeing Standard Operating Procedures and other protocols.
Preparing documentation of critical analysis and failures and providing corrective actions.
Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, workshops, etc.
Assessing various project requirements.
Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or B Tech Degree.
Alternative: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer is an advantage. Experience in Water Technology and Equipment is preferred. Candidates should have experience working in the mechanical engineering field (minimum of 8 years). Any High-Pressure experience would be an added advantage.
Additional skills include:
Superior computer skills with solid experience in CAD, specifically Solid Works.
Ability to analyze test data.
Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Highly analytical mind with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
