This Role In Summary
The Senior Manager, Sales-Head of Retail position will have sales responsibility for InSinkErator manufactured product lines, the #1 brand since developing the category in 1927. The anticipated sales volume for this role is approximately 60% of the overall InSinkErator Business at $250 million annually. This is a dynamic role managing all retail accounts, including accounts such as Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Costco, Walmart, and large COOPs. This role will lead the retail team and actively work with top trade customers to deliver commercialization plans that enable productive solutions, delivering market share and DCM expansion. In addition, look for opportunities to expand our distribution with accounts we are not currently doing business with.
Your Responsibilities Will Include Establish and communicate USA sales and marketing strategies required to achieve profitable growth and meet annual USA Retail expectations.Promote InSinkErator products to attain maximum sales volume to specified current or prospective retail, hardware wholesaler, and online account base.Responsible for annual sales demand forecast and participate in the determination of product strategy and market potential.Manage and support the Retail Channel direct reports with their accounts and sales strategies, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, and other retail accounts.Work with direct staff to develop win/win go-to-market solutions and drive effective programs to maximize top line and margin growth.Partner with marketing to support brand, innovation, and commercialization efforts to develop category growth strategies for channel partners and consumers.Develop and use pricing analytic insights into effective Retail channel strategy, channel and/or Channel Partner demand forecasting, and market strategy.Collaborate to ensure product and category sales and marketing initiatives are implemented in a timely manner across all Retail customer groups.Review and optimize SKU assortment strategies for categories, Retail channel partners, and market areas that are aligned with brand and product commercialization direction.Provide support to the Retail sales team in the development and presentation of business plans to customers/channel partners.Travel with the sales team to visit and present to Retail channel partners, address market challenges, and assist with communicating to the company the 'Voice of the Customer'.Confer with immediate supervisor in the development of marketing policy, recommending product and product line revisions, pricing changes, and sales analytics tracking/dashboarding.Assist Retail sales team/marketing staff members in activities such as sales promotion, training, or market research in planning and executing special projects.Cultivate strong functional relationships across Customer Service, e-Business, and Marketing to ensure that key projects and tasks are completed on time and implemented effectively.Perform people leader duties for all direct reports.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field5+ years of experience in the retail home improvement industry or other related retail experiencePreferred Skills And Experiences Master's Degree in Business or related fieldPrevious people management experienceStrong customer service commitmentPersistent, closing sales while maintaining a positive relationship with a customer or clientFinancial acumen in analyzing top-line growth, gross profit, and program effectivenessPossess an in-depth understanding of market research, trade channel selling processes, and financial analysisBrand strategy understandingExceptional communicator with impeccable interpersonal skillsOrganizational and time management skillsEffective, clear writing & presentation skillsProblem-solving ability and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong computer skills and aptitudeMerchandising and go-to-market knowledge/experienceAdditional Information This position is remote, with a preference for close proximity to Milwaukee and ChicagoWill require travel approximately 30-40% of the timeBenefits
