Senior Manager Procurement (Grain) - Retail Industry - R900K - R800K

RPO Recruitment's client in the retail industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Manager Procurement (Grain) to join their team in the Western Cape.

Responsibilities: Awareness of the context and impact of procurement on a business and leading the efficient and timeous execution of the grain category strategy.The procurement, inventory and stock management of grain and services at a national level, including vendor and contract management for the grain portfolio.Financial management (budget) execution of applicable financial controls.Good governance in all aspects of the grain channel category management environment.Engaging and maintaining productive and value adding relationships with customers as well as internal and external stakeholders whilst influencing best fit procurement solutions.Ability to lead a high impact team and collaborate with different stakeholders.Driving automation/optimization of the grain procurement system - reporting functional management information and trend analyses.Develop consumer-facing content across a variety of segments to publicize thecompany's products & brands.
Requirements: Relevant bachelor's degree (BCom or Agriculture Economics). JSE Agricultural Products and Derivative Dealers Exam will be an advantage.6 Years' related grain procurement experience.Ability to effectively communicate and/or negotiate with high level of proficiency.Excellent MS Office & Procurement supplier/dealer integrated systems skills.
