Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Leading, managing and coordinating the provision of enterprise finance services in the organisation, including long and short-term loans, risk capital, micro-lending, and third-party funding to promote access to finance by businesses.Designing responsive enterprise finance products and providing related support services.Managing processes and systems relating to loan applications, processing, approvals, feedback management, pay-outs, collections, monitoring, and reporting.Designing and formulating governance and administrative systems required for effective rendering of enterprise finance services.Overseeing client contracting and management of securities relating to approved loans.Managing the performance of the loans book, particularly collection and impairment rates.Minimum RequirementsDegree in Commerce (Business Management / Economics / Finance / Development or Entrepreneurship studies).Minimum of 10 years working experience, with at least 5 years in enterprise finance, SMME support or economic development at a middle management or senior consultancy level.Key Performance AreasStrategic Planning and GovernanceProvide input to the organisational strategy and Corporate Plan.Review organisational activities and recommend corrective actions as necessary.Develop unit operational plans aligned to corporate objectives.Enhance and implement treasury regulation systems, processes, procedures, tools, and control systems.Ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of reports to stakeholders.Implement controls to minimize potential risks.Manage internal and external audits.Participate in management forums, contributing expertise for sound decision-making.Facilitate departmental communication through appropriate structures.Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Management and Oversight of Funding SolutionsDesign and package funding solutions for businesses/SMMEs.Manage the provision of funding solutions to improve business sustainability.Develop loan security regimes and due diligence frameworks.Ensure safeguarding of all security documents for the portfolio.Development of Policies, Procedures, and SystemsDevelop funding frameworks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.Develop Standard Operating Procedures for all products.Oversee productivity activities, including conducting feasibility studies and setting business goals.Portfolio Management and AftercareOversee loan portfolio monitoring and aftercare services.Manage workouts and restructuring of funded businesses.Establish partnerships to increase access to financial services.Ensure provision of monthly reports and facilitate corrective measures as necessary.Budget ManagementManage capital and operational budgets of the Unit.Evaluate unit performance against the approved budget and address deviations.Prepare and present reports on expenditure and fund availability.People ManagementAssign responsibilities and implement task authorisation protocols.Implement staff development and training initiatives.Manage performance in accordance with the organisation's policies.Identify training needs and implement plans to address them.Customer and Stakeholder ManagementConduct stakeholder mapping and relationship-building sessions.Build and lead an effective team toward achieving organisational goals.Provide advice and support to the CEO, Board, and Senior Management team on stakeholder engagement.
