Job FamilyMarketing, Communication and ResearchCommunication and Public RelationsManage Others (MO)Job PurposeThe role requires a strategic mindset to coordinate Internal Communications activities, problem-solving techniques to address issues in an effective manner with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent is asked to use internally generated insights as well as relevant external communications and employee experience trends to provide strategies to improve the communications approach, methodology and practices. The incumbent would be asked to build a relevant internal communications approach (including processes, policies, strategic narrative, and calendar) and work closely with internal business stakeholders to ensure the relevant internal messages and direction are communicated to Nedbank staff via a suite of channels. Develop and execute leadership and employee engagement/communication programmes, support culture change initiatives and transformation communications in support of the business strategy and priorities.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and monitor best practices for all internal communicationsContribute to the communications assets in line with brand guidelinesCollaborate on governance framework, approach and methodologies to deliver internal communicationsDevelop strategies, playbooks and templates for internal communications activitiesDevelop/implement internal communications strategyProvide input into PI planning and QBR for internal communications efforts related to mission specific activitiesCollaborate on an internal communications strategy, in collaboration with the business, for input into the integrated communications strategy.Monitor internal communications initiatives and evaluate success and implement improved strategiesAgree and approve storyboard for internal communications campaignsReview internal communications scriptsProvide content ideas for internal events and initiativesEnsure consistency of internal communications in line with the OneBrand strategySolicit feedback on internal communications from the business, including executives and implement enhancement measuresIdentify opportunities to inform employees of Nedbank on Products and specific internal campaignsIdentify non-relevant communications that are briefed in and ensure these do not clutter the communications environment. Empower reporting line to identify and filter these out to ensure that the relevant communications are prioritised. This includes content that does not align to the strategic business narrative, thematic approach or calendar timing.Analyse reporting for continuous improvementLiaise with business to partner and identify opportunities to measure communications success.Analyse reporting and insights to increase the reach and effectiveness of all internal communicationsReview and ensure the relevant internal networks and platforms are utilised and incorporated for the internal communicationsMonitor and track uptake and insights from internal communications efforts and activitiesOversee the execution of the internal communications team members development to meet strategic and personal goals.Recruitment, training and development of reporting line to meet business needsIdentify CoE to form part of squads, aimed at delivering on the various strategic initiativesFacilitate performance reviewsPeople SpecificationEssential Qualifications - NQF LevelMatric / Grade 12 / National Senior CertificateAdvanced Diplomas/National 1st DegreesPreferred QualificationCommunications; Journalism; MarketingMinimum Experience Level3-6 yearsManagement experience as part of the above years: 1-2 yearsTechnical / Professional KnowledgeVerbal and written communicationProject ManagementAnalytical SkillsPresentation SkillsCreativeRelationship SkillsProcurement knowledgeCommunicating in the Digital AgeBuilding PartnershipsDriving ExecutionDriving InnovationDriving for ResultsLeading Virtual TeamsResolving Conflict
