Job Title: Senior Manager - IBMS & SHEQLocation: Pinetown, South AfricaIndustry: Automotive ManufacturingDescription: RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to oversee the Integrated Business Management System (IBMS) and Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) functions for their automotive manufacturing plant in Pinetown. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the plant.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective operation of the IBMS and SHEQ functions.Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance with company policies, as well as local and international regulations.Lead and coordinate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Develop and deliver training sessions to enhance employee awareness and understanding of IBMS, SHEQ, and related topics.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, customers, and suppliers, to ensure alignment with industry standards and requirements.Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to IBMS and SHEQ, and recommend areas for improvement.Manage a team of professionals responsible for IBMS and SHEQ functions, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluation.RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health and Safety.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing IBMS and SHEQ functions in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and IATF 16949.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results.Certifications in relevant areas, such as Quality Management Systems, Health and Safety Management, or Environmental Management, are preferred.Salary: negotiable.
