Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Employer Branding and Talent efforts across the African continent. This role will focus on developing and executing strategies to enhance our employer brand, attract top talent, and implement talent management practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employer branding, talent acquisition, and talent management, with a proven track record of driving successful initiatives in these areas.
Job Description
Employer Branding Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive employer branding strategy that aligns with Absa's business goals and values.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling content that showcases Absa's culture, values, and employee experiences.
Utilize digital and social media platforms to enhance the visibility of Absa's employer brand.
Talent Attraction and Acquisition:
Partner with recruitment teams to design and execute innovative talent acquisition campaigns.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for enhancing talent attraction strategies.
Develop partnerships with universities, professional organizations, and industry groups to build a diverse talent pipeline.
Talent Management and Development:
Design and implement talent management programs that support career development, succession planning, and leadership development.
Collaborate with HC People partners to assess talent needs and create personalized development plans for high-potential employees.
Drive initiatives that foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
Develop and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
Conduct regular employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Implement recognition and reward programs that celebrate employee achievements and contributions.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with Business Unit (BU) & in-country stakeholders to understand core business, strategic objectives, employee value proposition, and culture.
Provide regular feedback to Cluster Talent Acquisition Head, Cluster Head, and BU Leaders on Employer Branding & related Talent Acquisition and Talent Management Strategy progress.
Strategic Partnerships:
Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as recruitment agencies and universities.
Source opportunities for strategic partnerships that build Absa's brand and attracts top talent.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of employer branding and talent management initiatives.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on key talent metrics and trends.
Continuously assess and improve processes based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and/or Advanced Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field and/or relevant experience.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in employer branding and talent acquisition, or talent management.
Proven experience in developing and executing employer branding strategies.
Strong understanding of talent acquisition and talent management best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using recruitment and HR software.

Education
Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Human and Social Studies (Required)
