This role presents an excellent opportunity to grow your career whilst helping our clients navigate and positively contribute to the sustainability agenda.Your Why?As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for growing the business, training the team, managing sustainability projects, and expanding their expertise.What will your day look like?The team lead for ESG DD service offeringProviding technical consultation support to reporting and assurance teamsDelivery of high-quality client and internal reports on the DD value chainUnderstand the investment cycle for ESG integration.Develop proposals and take an active role in business development activities including prospect meetings, preparation of proposals and project plans.Support in the further development of our advisory/consulting offeringFacilitate strategy sessions at C-Suite level.Research and project management essentialConduct in-depth research and analysis on ESG standards, data, and trends.Analyse ESG data, evaluating its quality and performance to draw insight useful for investors and decision-makers.Create thought leadership and engagement tools, presentations, and documents for private market investors and other stakeholders.Engage with clients and partners in the financial sector to help them understand ESG.Ensure policy and regulations compliance and play a key role in advisory projects.Be creative in generating ideas and recommendations in pursuit of new and improved products and services.Be proactive and independent in task management.Have a strong analytic mindset and exceptional reporting and writing skills.What will make you an ideal candidate?Relevant post-graduate qualification essential (sustainable development, business, finance or accounting)Knowledge of universal frameworks on sustainability and integrated reporting frameworks and standards highly advantageousConfidently hold C-Level client engagementsExperience and/or qualifications in a business management-related field would be beneficial (e.g. financial, change management, strategy etc.)A minimum of 5 years focused ESG DD experience for private and listed entitiesCommercially focused and adept in applying sustainability knowledge to differing client situations.Good business developer with a network within the ESG value chainCommitment to the B-BBEE transformation agendaAmbition to grow within Mazars and participate in working groupsWhat additional competencies will position YOU for success?Self-Starter and pragmatic leaderTeam player with good communication, interpersonal and client servicing skillsProven ability to manage people and clientsExcellent technical ability on business transformationStrong project management, research, analytical and report writing skillsProblem solver and effective decision makerSolutions OrientedCatalyst for changeAbility to work in a dynamic environment, shaping teams/services to meet evolving needs
