Senior Fund Accountant

A genuinely empowered, trustworthy, and sustainable financial services firm is seeking a knowledgeable, team-playing candidate with relevant experience to take on a Senior Fund Accountant role, providing operational and programmatic assistance support to the Fund Accounting team.My client is a service-oriented company that goes above and beyond for its clients. They have high performance standards and a supportive and transparent culture.As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting all operational aspects related to managing the Fund Accounting portfolio.Other duties include:Verify that bank statements are current and that bank reconciliations are completed accurately and promptly.Monitor and manage current system controls while implementing new improvements to streamline processes and reduce risk.Prepare fund accounts according to the fund's accounting policies and enact modifications.Coordinate with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to share information and address issues promptly.Oversee and manage investments and divestments in collaboration with the Investment Managers.Organize and manage audits to ensure they are conducted efficiently and on schedule.Review audit files and working papers before submitting them to the Fund Accounting Manager.Compile member data relevant to the valuation of the fund(s).Collaborate with senior management to identify all key risks and ensure they are effectively communicated to the appropriate business owners.Ensure that monthly compliance reports are on-time, accurate, and thoroughly reviewed internally.Job Experience & Skills Required:BCom Accounting5 years of experience within retirement fundsIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
