Senior Fund Accountant – Employee Benefits Administration
Key Responsibilities

Financial Control - Monthly Accounting

Preparation of monthly accounts within 5 weeks after month end
Review and sign-off of monthly accounts within 6 weeks after month end
Preparation and review of the quarterly C48 Reports


Financial Control - Accounts Processing

Process journal entries to General Ledger
Review monthly bank reconciliations
Checking and releasing payments


Fund Audits and Fund Accounting

Planning and managing project deliverables
Training of Fund Accountants
Management of Fund Accountants
Review and preparation of working papers
Review and preparation of Annual Financial Statements
Regulation 28 reviews and preparations for Annual Financial Statements
Ensuring submission of AFS within 6 months of year end
Responding to the FSCA queries
Internal post-audit review with fund accountants
Implementation and streamlining of processes



Skills and Experience Required

Matric with Mathematics, minimum C symbol
Completed Degree or Diploma in Finance
Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar environment
Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel Advanced, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Sound understanding of systems and experience working with developers & programmers will be an advantage.

Pay: R35000,00 - R45000,00 per month
