We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer to assist our finance team in administering accounting operations. You should be familiar with audits, invoices, preparing and filing tax returns and budget preparations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate interest in managing accounting activities such as bank reconciliations, tax submissions, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organisational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks. Ultimately, you'll be responsible for assisting the day-to-day management of financial transactions and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
Assist in the preparation of management accounts
Process invoices
Prepare and submit tax returns i.e., EMP201 and VAT201
Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
Update internal systems with financial data
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
Reconcile bank statements
Participate in financial audits
Track bank deposits and payments
Assist with budget preparation
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Proven work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Experience using financial software (QuickBooks will be of benefit)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of financial regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Sharp time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (Minimum requirement)
