Duties and responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRSEnsure that financial risks are identified and effectively managed through the implementationand monitoring of appropriate accounting procedures (aligned with IFRS)Sound internal controls and good governance structuresIn collaboration with the Directors, prepare the organisations consolidated annual budget,aswell as, prepare the half year review and forecastPrepare timeous and accurate financial reports for submission to the resident Directors, executive management team and the non resident Board of DirectorsUndertake audit preparations to ensure an efficient, effective, and successful audit processEnsure that audit findings are timeously resolved, prior to the commencement of the next years auditEnsure that the organisations core finances are managed and accounted for in an effective and transparent mannerReview the effectiveness of the accounting and reporting systems on an ongoing basis, to identify areas for enhancement or improvementPrepare relevant and accurate monthly management accounts for submission to the relevant stakeholders including the Directors, executive management team, as well as address any queries raisedOversee the full accounting functions including the income statement, accounts receivable,accounts payable and all assets for all subsidiaries.Oversee the full payroll functionManage compliance with all relevant SARS registrations and requirements (monthly, bi-annually, and annually)Manage compliance with all relevant CIPC registrations and filing requirements including all secretarial resolutions.Effectively manage all cash flows to meet the organisational needsLiaise and manage the existing relationship with the organisations bankersReview all Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) paymentsEnsure that all source documents are appropriately filed, and files are properly labelled to facilitate the easy retrieval of documentsRequirements:B.Com degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management.Completed articles with an accredited audit firm and/or membership with professional bodies such as SAICA, ACCA, or CIMA (advantageous).At least 5 years of experience in a core finance role.A minimum of 3 years of management experience, including team leadership and/or other managerial responsibilities.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (candidate will be tested in interview stage for Graphs / Pivots and V-Lookups)Advanced capability to do various Financial Modelling for desired results and / or analysis or reportingsExcellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence (EQ)Strong planning and organisation skillsStrong attention to detailAble to establish and maintain sound relationships with key stakeholdersAble to provide the inspiration, direction and incentives required for team successAble to embrace diversity and ensure fairnessAble to focus on optimising own and others energy to drive resultsAble to use analysis, logic, innovation, experience, skill, and knowledge to solve problemsAble to express oneself effectively verbally and in writing in the English languageAble to demonstrate strong conviction in own judgment and actionsAble to use discretion and deal with sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner
