NDC Personnel & Contractors is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Factory Technologist with a Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or an equivalent qualification to join an FMCG company in the Western Cape . The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a food production environment, including 1 year of leadership experience, and will bring a positive personality that enjoys collaborating with diverse groups at various levels. Key responsibilities include leading and managing a QC team, ensuring compliance with customer product quality specifications and food safety policies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and continuously improving the Food Safety Management System, reviewing and investigating customer complaints, and assisting with corrective action plans. You will ensure that all factory documentation is controlled and accurate, while also conducting ongoing risk evaluations and GMP reviews. In this position, you'll recruit and train QC staff, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet quality standards. Strong communication skills are essential as you will coordinate with both internal and external customers, contributing to audits and inspections to verify the effectiveness of the cleaning and hygiene program. You'll also manage pest control standards and actively contribute technical input during the factory trial phases to support continuous improvement. You should have experience or knowledge of low care/high care regimes with HACCP/FSSC22000 standards, and demonstrate excellent time management, problem-solving orientation, and a methodical approach to planning and coordinating quality processes.
