Senior Estimator (Civil)

Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a reputable civil engineering company in Wellington to find a skilled and experienced Senior Estimator. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects. You will work closely with the project team to analyze project requirements, review designs, and prepare detailed cost estimates.Responsibilities:Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projectsReview designs and identify potential cost-saving opportunitiesPrepare quantity take-offs and material pricingObtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliersDevelop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliersCompile and submit accurate and competitive bidsPrepare and present cost estimate reports to management and clientsTrack and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycleCoordinate with project team to ensure timely completion of estimatesRequirements:Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in civil engineering projectsStrong knowledge of civil engineering practices, materials, and methods (water, stormwater and pipe work)Proficiency in estimating software and toolsExcellent mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to read and interpret project plans and specificationsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentValid driver's licenseBenefits:Salary: negotiableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
