Client is enhancing its Hydrology and Water Resources Management section by employing several team members, including:A Senior Engineering Hydrologist/Water Resource Engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience. This is a permanent position, and the successful applicants will be based in our Johannesburg or Pietermaritzburg office.Qualifications:BSc Eng (Civil) or BSc Hydrology (Hons); Masters preferredProven project management and water resource planning experienceProfessional registration (Pr.Sci.Nat or Pr.Eng)Experience:Work with mining and renewable energy clientsConsulting for National Water Resources Ministries/AuthoritiesProficient in South African modelling systems (ACRU, Pitman, etc.) and GISStrong hydrological modelling, water resources planning, and flood determination skillsExcellent interpersonal, networking, business development, and project management skillsSkills:International project experienceMultidisciplinary water-related studiesClimate change impact assessmentRisk and vulnerability assessmentsHydraulic design of drainage structuresWater quality analysisTraining and capacity buildingHydro-informatics systems developmentHydrological gauging network designEcosystem-based adaptation modellingExperience with multilateral development institutions Competencies:Proven project managementStrong interpersonal and networking skillsBusiness development
