Senior Engineer – Substations

Solid understanding of primary plant equipment technology, specification, sizing and selection.
Project management and engineering is essential, especially managing stakeholders and other discipline engineers Must have excellent technical report writing and presentation skills Must have experience with developing project design documentation, BOQ's, technical specifications, perform concept and/or detail design layouts, and providing a detail design package that complies with applicable local, international and client specifications and standards.
Experience with leading the preparation and submission of bids for energy infrastructure is advantageous Experience within a consulting or EPC environment is an advantage.
Must have strong verbal communication skills Must have strong time management skills Must have strong organizational skills Ability to lead a team of young engineers to deliver on projects Self-motivated and independent Requirements BSc Eng, BEng degree in Electrical Engineering Registered with ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer 5 – 8 years of experience in the design, management and execution of Distribution & Transmission substations and/or overhead lines 33kV up to 132kV – Eskom project experience is a must
