Permanent Position WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for Software simulation (eg CFD, FEM, Ballistic software) and Design as part of the PD team and to support Production and Marketing. The incumbent will be responsible to support Project Managers, ensuring that related development projects, contracts and programs are completed effectively and timeously.
The use of various simulation software tools to assist designers during development. To design and simulate new products and new innovative solutions to ammunition and ballistic challenges. Compile and review product documentation, specifications and reports. Computer Aided Design and Drafting according to RDM standards. To prepare various ballistic and other simulations and develop simulation and related software. Assist during industrialisation and process development. Design, procure and commission specialised development tooling. Support Marketing and Production. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
BSc or BEng degree (Mechanical - preferred). At least 5 year's experience in a creative technical environment. Excellent computer simulation and modelling knowledge. FEA, CFD etc. Knowledgeable to Explosives practices, regulations and rules. Knowledge of ISO 9001/2000 and ISO 14001 and other related international standards. Good problem solving and client relationship skills. Good interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills. Good communication, planning and organizing skills. Computer literacy (MS Office packages, 3-D design packages (Solid Edge) and programming languages eg Python, MATLAB). WHAT WE OFFER YOU
