Senior Electrical Engineer/ Engineering ManagerWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/ Engineering Manager with an automation background in process plants. Prior hydrometallurgical plant exposure is preferable, along with about 10 years of experience. Business management skills are preferable as the person will need to handle business decisions and participate in company strategy and development.The business encompasses design, manufacture, and after-sales support of wet chemical analyzers for hydrometallurgical plants.Requirements and DutiesProven innovator with a strong academic background.An Executive Management Program course (e.g., Wits MAP or Gibs PMD) is very desirable.Proven technical leadership skills.Proven business management skills. The successful candidate will grow to be involved in all aspects of the business.Management of technical personnel, including the annual review process.Ensure safety standards are defined and met.Develop technical team careers and training levels.Technical team scheduling and productivity.Project management for new product development.Project management of site installation and commissioning work.Perform design functions for new and existing systems.Production technical oversight of systems, subsystems, and assemblies.R&D for product improvement.Conceptualizing new products, prototyping to MVP stage, and putting forward the business case for further development.Responsibility for hardware and software development for new and existing analyzers.Configuration management and protection of IP.Process improvement planning and implementation.Remote and on-site support and servicing of PAS analyzer systems.Installation, commissioning, and training functions on customer sites.Maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring customer satisfaction targets are met.Delivering technical papers at conferences.Documentation functions.Quality control functions.Desired Experience & QualificationMUST HAVE A B.Sc. Electrical Engineering degree.At least 10 years of experience.Package & RemunerationUp to 2 million rand per annum, negotiable plus bonus.
