Hv Electrical Engineer

Responsible for the design, development and implementation of High voltage Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety and operational requirements. Develop and review electrical configurations for BESS. Design, prepare, simulate, test, and implement design, drawings, technological concepts, reports and solutions Provide technical support during the design, construction, testing and commissioning phases Assist technicians in project execution Create accurate project specifications Ensure engineering deliverables meet project schedules and quality standards. Manage the integration of engineering designs and deliverables across various disciplines including but not limited to electrical, structural, civil and fire protection. Actively participate in technical planning and timeline discussions to manage project deliverables Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, operational requirements and project specifications Stay updated with industry standards and codes relevant to high voltage systems and BESS Skills: Ability to understand and speak Afrikaans and English (MUST) Expertise in design and software for high-voltage systems Strong product life cycle engineering experience Excellent planning and organizing skills High level of problem solving and analytical thinking Effective communication skills and teamwork capabilities. High Energy levels and the ability to thrive under pressure Qualification BEng (Electrical/BSc (Electrical Engineering) or similar Minimum 4 years work experience in same or similar role Proven experience in High Voltage design. Proficiency in IT and relevant engineering software.
