We offer you the opportunity to establish yourself within a professional, corporate environment in the countryside.Job DescriptionResponsible for the management of the warehouse during own shift, which includes but is not limited to stocking of stock/ products, stock control and records and the timeous loading of trucks according to standard operating procedures, whilst maintaining operational standards and budgetary targets.RequirementsGrade 12 or NQF Level equivalent.Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics.Minimum of 5 years' warehousing experience.Supervisory experience within a poultry abattoir environment.Experience within the FMCG/ Food Industry preferred.Advanced Microsoft office (incl. Advanced Excel).CB - Code B driver's license/ own reliable transport.Willingness to work shift and overtime including on weekends and public holidays.Duties and responsibilitiesEnsure trucks are loaded as per GFC policy and procedure.Compilation of necessary documentation including dispatch fracturing and weigh bridge ticket.Daily stock report to management.Stock-take as required by management.Liaise with internal departments on an ongoing basis to ensure quality service and products.Ensure cases/ pallets per square meter targets are met.Ensure warehouse layout is optimized through correct placing of stock/ goods.Ensure products are picked and dispatched to ensure delivery schedule times are achieved.Continuous stock-control to limit financial losses.Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained.Demonstrate leadership skills, motivation and conflict resolution.Mentor and coach subordinates.Manage the performance of subordinates and discipline in the workplace.Identify training and development needs for staff members.Give input into the recruitment and selection of staff members.Monitor overtime levels in the workplace and authorize as needed.Ensure the adherence to completion of all documentation accurately and in full within own shift.Range - Documents include, but are not limited to: Staff overtime sheetsStock control SheetsForklift Pre-shift check sheetsSupervisor check sheetsCustomer service sheetProduction planning – freshLoading Information PapersCHEP ControlReal register controls Complete and/ or update the prescribed reports and/ or documentation manually or on a computer system.Ensure that all credits are processed accurately according to the SOP.Monitor costs by analysing cost allocations, identifying discrepancies and implementing cost saving strategies.Range - Major costs include, but are not limited to: OvertimeMaterial Handling Equipment utilizationDelaysHeld oversReturns Analyse and report on monthly deviations and costs.Give input to Warehouse & Logistics Manager during compilation of annual budgets.Put strategies in place to ensure optimal delivery schedule of the various customer accounts.Provide input into management meetings.Provide input into the compilation of Service Level Agreements.Ensure service levels are maintained in accordance with SLA.Provide slow moving/ obsolete reports to Manager to manage these items in the warehouse.Ensure continuous supplier/ sales department/ client communication and feedback.Range - Communication and feedback include, but is not limited to: Daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly reportsSales meetings with GFC sales teamPerformance Reviews of own line reportsClient satisfaction questionnaires at different levels Help resolve customer complaints.Implement continuous improvements to improve both efficiencies as well as services given to customers.Identify cost saving initiatives without compromising services provided.Identify remedial actions whenever service levels are being compromised.Ensure legal compliance within the warehouse.Assist with information on accident/ incident investigations as per SOP.Identify remedial actions to improve safety in the warehouse.Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards at all times.Any other duties as may be required by management.Skills RequiredAccuracy and attention to detailLogical thinkerSolutions-drivenTechnical-mindedTeam playerAbility to work under pressureThe company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion.
