Summary:The Senior Director of Sourcing is a key strategic role in the organization driving substantial value and managing complex processes, across all 18 countries.The individual is responsible for leading a team of global category managers and transportation experts, who manage a group of high-impact commodities-products and services, and optime the transportation landscape for such commodities.This role requires extensive and regular collaboration with functional and regional leadership to understand business requirements to proactively define and execute sourcing and transportation strategies to address such needs and effectively deliver significant business impact. The individual will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key partners.Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferredMinimum of 15 years experience in procurement and sourcing-related roles at least at Director level; experience in the telecommunications industry is a plusExperience working in international, multi-region, and multi-country environmentsExperience managing distributed and virtual teams with a minimum annual spend of $250 MFluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plusSkills and Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing activities and processes, a plus if related to tower and power components/operationsExperience in crafting global sourcing strategies, developing and conducting complex RFXs, supplier analysis, negotiations and contractingStrategic mindset with sound financial and business acumen as well as well-defined decision-making skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think differently (creatively)Proven ability to build, motivate, and lead teamsProven ability to manage and foster collaboration across stakeholders and countriesAbility to interact with and communicate at all levels of the organizationDynamic, team player, proactive, self-starter (capable of working with minimum oversight) with utmost integrity and ethicsExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments and prioritiesAbility to drive change in large organizationsResilient, curious, and able to deal with ambiguityStrong communication (oral and written) and presentation skillsProficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant softwareMain Accountabilities:Lead the international sourcing team to develop and implement global sourcing strategies balancing quality, performance, and costs, leading to best value creation outcomesDrive continuous improvement of such processesWork closely with internal stakeholders-functional and regional, to understand business objectives and strategy to determine demand for products and servicesCollaborate with local/regional teams to regularly update, standardize, and optimize product and service specifications with the ultimate goal of lowering TCOLead the transportation area to optimize carrier and route landscape, carrying regular reviews according to market changesDevelop and maintain strong, fair, and ethical partnerships with key vendors senior management, and ensure acceptance and adherence to the company's code of conductConduct regular supplier reviews to manage effectiveness and performance, creating corrective action plans as neededActively manage and mitigate supplier risk as well as geopolitical situations impact delivery of productsSupervise team (virtual/remote) working on sourcing and transportation activities across LatAm, Europe, and AfricaCollaborate and interact closely with Regional Procurement Directors and Functional Excellence DirectorDevelop and lead close relationships with key vendors
