Program and Position Overview : LJI's anti-human trafficking model focuses on transit monitoring to identify, intercept, and assist trafficking victims before they reach their destination.
We have intercepted over 30,000 individuals, resulting in over 1,100 arrests and a 32% conviction rate in closed cases.
To ensure excellence among our field offices, we have developed over 30 core processes to monitor performance and compliance in various areas, including budgeting, administration, data collection, and legal cases.
This role will enhance and complete core processes related to investigations and security, assisting with training and empowerment across partner organizations in different countries.
A working knowledge of law enforcement and justice systems is essential.
The Senior Director of Investigations and Security will report to the VP of Anti-Trafficking and will be based in Ballito, South Africa, with travel to different fields.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Assist in developing and training on investigations policies, standards, and guidelines.
Train and empower national investigations and security staff.
Provide operational assistance and tactical guidance to investigative staff.
Assist in developing and training on security policies, standards, and guidelines.
Collaborate to develop studies measuring criteria helpful for core processes and investigations.
Work with the Searchlight Anti-Trafficking Data Base team to develop data analysis tools.

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Significant experience in law enforcement, investigations, and security.
Ability to work well in cross-cultural contexts; experience abroad preferred.
Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic and adaptability to changing circumstances.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with complex spreadsheets preferred.
Proficiency with Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to maintain a positive outlook in challenging circumstances.
