The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for delivery and support of software developed for IT (Dev) and support of business production systems. You will be required to create automated solutions for operational requirements such as monitoring and incident/disaster response. Another key area would be complementing continuous delivery and automation (IT Operations). You will also be responsible for ensuring availability, performance, efficiency, changes, monitoring, and emergency response. There is a support standby requirement for 10 days per month.

The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Senior DevSecOps Engineer:
• Pioneer automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
• Support containerized environments (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
• Foster collaboration with teams, enhancing application performance together.
• Uphold security standards in our on-premises and cloud environments.
• Bring infrastructure to life through innovative code, automating where possible.
• Facilitating and guiding (Dev) adherence to coding and security standards (best practice and group standards)
• Driving the "Shift Left" mindset within Group IT by supporting all security initiatives and projects (SAST, DAST)
• Basic coding skills
• Maintain administrative discipline required for keeping logging tools and documentation always updated.
• Explore and embrace the latest DevSecOps innovations to drive progress and success.
What will make you successful in this role?The key responsibilities of the role include the following:
• Use and apply best practice design methodologies, tools and frameworks, and practices to solve for, and automate repetitive tasks within the workplace procesess
• Manage all the stakeholders impacted by any work you have a hand in.
• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
• Identify and deploy cybersec measures, policies and tools for continuous vulnerability assessment and risk management.
• Actively Collaborate with devs, PO etc to ensure seamless deliver and support of code and IT environments
• Build on your technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in any tasks assigned to you
• Must have a natural inclination for troubleshooting and problem solving.
Qualifications and experience
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Cloud Platform certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps role or similar positions.
• Experience in agile development environments and familiarity with DevOps culture and practices
• Proven DevOps Engineer experience with focus in:
o Debugging and fault finding (preferably in FinTech environments).
o Building pipelines and provisioning architecture (AzureDevOps)
o Ensuring security checks (SAST/DAST) are integrated into the pipeline to catch vulnerabilities early.
o Scripting
o Expertise with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
o Containerization and orchestration: Utilize available tooling for orchestration to ensure scalable and efficient deployment of applications.
o Continuous integration practices
o APIs and third-party libraries.
o Web protocols and networks
o Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
o Strong communication and collaboration skills
o Relational/SQL Databases
o Experience with IT Automation Tools/Engines
o Infrastructure as code (IaC): Implement infrastructure using IaC tools to ensure consistent and repeatable configurations

Qualification and Experience Degree or Diploma and the required Certification with 8 to 10 years related experience. ITIL Practitioner and Management certified.
