Senior Corporate and Commercial AttorneyOur client is a well-renowned law firm based in Durban. They offer a range of legal services in the corporate and commercial sector, including property, general commercial, intellectual property, etc. They are looking for a skilled and experienced senior corporate and commercial attorney to join their practice.Key Responsibilities:Assist in M&A Transactions: Support senior attorneys in all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting and reviewing transaction documents, and coordinating with various stakeholders.Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to provide accurate and timely advice.Document Preparation: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other transaction-related documents.Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations, and assist in identifying and mitigating potential legal risks.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the legal team, as well as with external advisors and consultants, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest legislative and regulatory developments, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.Qualifications:Education: LLB degree and Admitted AttorneyExperience: 4 – 7 years PQE with experience in corporate and commercial lawSkills:Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Personal Attributes:Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively in a team environment.Proactive: Takes initiative and demonstrates a strong work ethic.Client-Focused: Committed to providing high-quality service and building strong client relationships.Ethical: Maintains the highest standards of professional integrity and confidentiality.About the Job:Contract Type: FULL_TIMEFocus: Commercial LawWorkplace Type: On-siteLocation: DurbanSalary: NegotiableJob Reference: QVES2P-420BDA61Date Posted: 25 October 2024Consultant: Tlami MatshegoCome join our global team of creative thinkers, problem solvers, and game changers.
