Our firm has offices in Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, San Rafael, Wilmington, and London.We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper with ideally entertainment business management and touring experience to join our team of dedicated professionals.Location: This position can be based out of Century City (CA) on a hybrid basis.Overview of Role: The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the client are accurate and assisting the Account Manager or Senior Account Manager in overseeing the finances of the assigned clients.ResponsibilitiesProcess and review accounts payable and accounts receivablePerform and review credit card and bank reconciliationsMaintain electronic filing systemGeneral communication with vendors, clients, and client representatives via phone, email, and in-personPerform and review cash flow reports and cash balances as requiredAssist in assembling information for year-end tax packages for accountantsProvide assistance on insurance questionsIdentify, trace, and correct errorsPrepare and review 1099 reportsPrepare and review journal entriesAssist in the preparation and processing of payroll, as well as applicable reportingPrint reports (such as financial statements) for reviewOther projects and duties as assignedA successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:2+ years of bookkeeping experience in an entertainment business management firmHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate's degree is preferredExcellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and via email)Ability to analyze and interpret accounting dataThorough knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practicesAbility to review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standardsUnderstanding of a chart of accounts, mortgages and leases, payroll taxes, and use of divisions and journalsKeen eye for detailsSolid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)Experience with AgilLink and/or DataFaction software is requiredBenefits & PayWe offer a diverse and employee-friendly environment with great work/life balance. Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee education/training/credentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal peer equity, and market considerations.
