Senior Actuarial Specialist Are you a skilled and motivated actuarial professional looking to make an impact in the property finance industry? My client is seeking a Senior Actuarial Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across both Life and Non-Life Insurance Businesses and contribute to key strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Perform and review monthly technical provisions (TP) calculations for Life and Non-Life businesses under IFRS17. Lead quarterly SAM valuations, returns, and annual valuation processes, including QRTs and QRRs. Conduct experience investigations, annual ORSA processes, and risk appetite statement validations. Negotiate Non-Life catastrophe reinsurance treaty renewals. Analyze claims and complaints, propose system improvements, and assess climate and liquidity risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the GOI standards. Prepare budgets, share price valuations, and dashboard reports. Collaborate with outsourced HAFs to implement system/process enhancements. Participate in ad hoc projects and provide input into group-level reports and returns.
Qualifications and Experience Substantial progress with actuarial exams (at least A100 & A200; A311 preferred). 3-4 years of actuarial experience in Life and/or Non-Life insurance. Proficiency in two or more areas: SAM, IFRS17, ORSA, valuations, AOS/EV calculations, or Prophet coding.
Skills and Competencies Strong technical actuarial skills with an understanding of relevant software and systems. Ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A proactive and self-motivated approach with a drive to improve processes. Strong planning, prioritization, and accountability abilities.
