Senior AccountantOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Tableview, Western Cape.As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and reporting for a diverse portfolio of service-related businesses, trusts, and properties. You will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, proficiency in various accounting software, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues. This is a permanent position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our client's diverse business interests.Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against targets and providing insights for decision-making.Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support business operations.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with the preparation of tax returns and other compliance-related activities.Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Audit Support: Facilitate audits by providing necessary documentation and assisting auditors as required.Desired Experience & QualificationEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional Certification: Preferably completed or pursuing professional certification such as CA (SA), CPA, or equivalent.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
