Senior Accountant (Manufacturing)

A Manufacturing multinational seeks an experienced and analytical Senior Accountant to join their South African team based in Johannesburg East.The purpose of the role will be to maintain financial records, manage daily accounting and support financial analysis and reporting. The successful incumbent will work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure financial transactions and reports are accurate.Duties will include, but will not be limited to:Record daily financial transactionsReconcile monthly bank statements and GL accountsPrepare and process journal entriesAssist in tracking and analyzing costsSupport preparation of cost reports and analysis to monitor expensesInventory managementPrepare financial reportsAssist with financial statements and management reportsSupport budgeting and forecastingAssist in implementing and maintaining internal control, and recommend improvementsSupport internal and external audit processesManage accounts payable and receivableCoordinate with vendors, customers and internal departments for accounting queriesFinance administration and filingEducation:BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting fieldSkills & Experience:2 to 4 years' experience in an accounting and analysis role essentialManufacturing / FMCG / Packaging industry experience is essentialStrong costing of goods experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong communication skillsAnalytical skillsAbility to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environmentIf this sounds like you, apply now!
