Senior Accountant

Our client in the beautiful Patensie in the Eastern Cape (Gamtoos Valley) is looking for a Senior Accountant with at least 5 years experience in a similar position. Duties and Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management Accounts. Understand and prepare Annual Financial Statements. Ensure Inter- company transactions are correct and up to date. Preparation of budgets. Prepare cashflow forecasts. Maintain Fixed asset register. Prepare monthly VAT returns, ensure timely filing of these returns resolve SARS queries. Budget vs actual analysis and reasons for overruns. Compilation of audit file resolving audit queries. Analysing trial balance account balances and movements with the goal of ensuring accuracy and completeness of the financial information. Answer ad-hoc queries in relation to your areas of responsibility. Preparing trial balances. Minimum Requirements Recognized 3-year degree as per the SAIPA/SAICA requirements Professional membership Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Accountant Managerial experience (advantageous) Agricultural experience (advantageous) Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel (intermediate to advance) Excellent time management skills Good verbal & written communication skills Strong administration skills Only applicant with relevant experience will be considered.
